Two of faculty of biology staffs Universitas Gadjah Mada joined RCE Yogyakarta team to attend workshop and managerial meeting in ICT-enabled in-service Training of Teacher to Address Education for Sustainability (ICTeEfS). This 2nd managerial meeting of ICTeEFS was held in Bandung Indonesia from January 9th to 14th, 2020. Lisna Hidayati, M.Biotech. and Zuliyati Rohmah, M.Si., Ph.D. have been part of RCE Yogyakarta delegation to present the curriculum of implementing ICT-based sustainable education courses for teachers and students in primary and secondary school.
ICTeEfS is a joint program that lead by Prof. Dr. Vassilis Makrakis (Frederick University) and co-funded by Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union. There are seven universities from Europe and ASEAN working together for this project, namely: Frederick University (Republic of Cyprus), The University of Crete (Greece), Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City International University, University Science Malaysia (USM), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Open University Malaysia (OUM) and Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). According to Mr. Nanung Agus Fitriyanto, S.Pt., M.Sc., Ph.D., the UGM team coordinator through this program RCE Yogyakarta, intended to disseminate ESD and SDGs through ICT-based courses for schools in Indonesia.
During this 6 days meeting, every partner universities presented their deconstructed courses, CARE module activities, and also were trained to reconstruct its learning outcomes, create a module with ESD and SDGs content and how to apply ICT as an integral part of courses. In ICTeEfS, the teams also discussed about the future plan for the projects and implementation of the courses to all part of curriculum.
