In addition to the 12 laboratories, the Joint Research Facility (FALITMA) has been established as a research support laboratory in the Faculty of Biology UGM. Since FALITMA was opened in 2010, research and development has experienced an increase in assets with the purchase of some new equipment. Since August 2012, FALITMA has begun pioneering analytical services in the field of Molecular Biology including DNA isolation, PCR, to sample preparation for sequencing, RNA isolation, RT-PCR as well as protein isolation and SDS PAGE. The use of the main tool tends to increase from 2013 to 2016, with the use of primary tools such as PCR, spectrophotometers, centrifuges and autoclaves.
