At the Faculty of Biology, Universitas Gadjah Mada, three world-class facilities converge to form a dynamic nexus of scientific innovation and the guardianship of life’s diversity. The Joint Research Facility (FALITMA) serves as the cornerstone for advanced molecular and biochemical inquiry, providing unparalleled access to state-of-the-art instrumentation and expert technical support. Building on this robust foundation, the Integrated Genome Factory (IGF) equipped with the Oxford Nanopore PromethION 24 and high-performance computing infrastructure propels multi-omics investigations with remarkable speed and resolution. Completing this triad, the Moeso Suryowinoto Indonesia Biodiversity Center (MSIBC), whose orchid-seed-inspired architecture celebrates Indonesia’s natural legacy, fosters cutting-edge work in tissue culture, conservation genetics, and ecological research. Together, these three pillars create a seamless continuum from precise molecular analyses to broad genomic insights and the enduring preservation of Indonesia’s rich biodiversity illuminating the Faculty of Biology as a distinguished beacon of scientific progress and environmental stewardship.
