The Professional Study Program in Biodiversity Curator (Program Profesi Kurator Keanekaragaman Hayati), abbreviated as PKKH, is the first and only program in Indonesia and even in Asia that offers professional education in biodiversity curation. This one-year program (two semesters) awards its graduates the professional title Biodiversity Curator (Bio.Cur.).
As one of the world’s megabiodiversity countries, Indonesia requires competent human resources for the effective management of its biological wealth. Graduates of the PKKH Program are expected to address this need by taking an active role in the conservation, management, and sustainable utilization of Indonesia’s biodiversity at both national and global levels.
Graduates of the PKKH Program will be well-prepared for a wide range of career opportunities, including positions in conservation institutions, museums, botanical gardens, national parks, forensic laboratories, the pharmaceutical industry, pest control sectors, and governmental agencies.
