Since the Egyptian Revolution, this university was then changed to Cairo University. Some of the forerunners of Cairo University emerged from the establishment of the Faculty of Engineering in 1816, the Faculty of Law in 1886, the Faculty of Irrigation and Construction in 1866, the Faculty of Agriculture in 1867 and the Faculty of Language in 1872.
