KSE together with IMoB successfully held the international webinar “Identity” for the first time. The webinar has been held on Saturday, October 16, 2021 with the title “Honey Bees: Management and Honey Adulteration.” This activity aims to provide general knowledge to the general public regarding honey management and honey adulteration. The international webinar “Identity” was hosted by Sherlina as the MC along with Andari as the moderator. As for the speakers, Zahtamal, S. Si. as the first speaker and international speaker, and Drs. Hari Purwanto, M. P., Ph. D. as the second speaker and Indonesian speaker.
“Identity” webinter events began with the opening by Sherlina as the MC. After that, it was followed by a speech by Axel Jonathan as the Deputy Chief Executive and Mrs. Rina Sri Kasiamdari, S. Si., Ph. D., as Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs. Then the event entered the first session in the form of lectures by Zahtamal, S. Si., which was guided by Andari as the moderator. The presentation lasted for 50 minutes with subtopics on the ins and outs of bees and their potential in the future, then closed with a question and answer session and documentation. After that, continued with the presentation of the second session by Mr. Drs. Hari Purwanto, M. P., Ph. D. The lecture also lasted for approximately 50 minutes with the subtopic of bee care management to maintain the quality of honey. The presentation was followed by a question and answer session and documentation at the end. After the second session, certificates were given to both speakers and continued with documentation and closing sessions by the MC.
From this webinar, deeper knowledge about bees and honey is obtained that is needed so that they can be used to develop their various potentials in the future. Good and correct management in processing is also important to do so that the quality of the honey produced can be maintained and not damaged because both the product and the product are not. It is hoped that this event can provide benefits and knowledge related to honey bees to the general public and can be held again with a different theme.
