The delegation from the Faculty of Biology at Gadjah Mada University (UGM) conducted a highly productive visit to Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) on November 17, 2023. The delegation consisted of Dr. Bambang Retnoaji, Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, and Dr. Slamet Widiyanto, Vice Dean for Finance, Assets, and Human Resources.
The purpose of this visit was to identify opportunities and to sign MOU for collaboration in the fields of education and research between the Faculty of Biology at UGM and the Division of Life Sciences at JBNU. The primary focus of the visit was on student exchange, research cooperation, double degree programs, and other forms of collaboration. The Faculty of Biology delegation toured the advanced research facilities at JBNU, gaining a deep understanding of the potential for collaboration in research.
Dr. Bambang Retnoaji stated, “We are very enthusiastic about the collaboration opportunities that can be found through this visit. Jeonbuk National University has a strong reputation in biological research, and we believe that this collaboration can bring significant benefits to both institutions.”
Dr. Slamet Widiyanto added, “This step is a very important beginning in strengthening the relationship between the Faculty of Biology at UGM and Jeonbuk National University. We hope to develop joint initiatives that can enhance the quality of education and research at both.

This collaboration is expected to open new opportunities for students and researchers at both universities, expanding their knowledge through the exchange of information and experiences. With this initial step, the Faculty of Biology at UGM and Jeonbuk National University are committed to building a sustainable and mutually beneficial collaboration.
